The 348 designation refers to the 3.4 liter engine displacement and eight cylinders.
The “T” designates the transverse gearbox mounted at the rear of the engine.
It was the first completely new model launched by Ferrari after the death of Enzo Ferrari in August 1988.
It is available in TB version (“B” for berlinetta) or in TS version (“S” for spider, but it has a targa roof).
The 348 presented at the 1989 Frankfurt Motor Show replaced the Ferrari 328 in the range as a 2-seater berlinetta with a V8 engine. The bodywork is traditionally signed by Pininfarina. The 348, also known as the “little Testarossa”, inherited its big sister’s side grilles, as well as rear light grilles and sharp lines. Mechanically, the major development lies in the longitudinal layout of the engine like the 288 GTO and the F40 before it.
The 348 engine was designed by engineer Nicola Materazzi, the father of the 288 GTO and F40.
The model presented was delivered new in Italy to Mr. Zanetti, owner of the Segafredo coffee brand.
Always followed by Ferrari ever since, it is presented in near new condition.
The belts as well as the tires will be replaced on delivery of the car.
This magnificent 348 TB is an opportunity to enter the Ferrari myth and to own an efficient and reliable car. It is just as comfortable in town as it is on small winding roads and is just waiting to accompany you for long hours of driving pleasure.
